One day I was thinking about fun mini things I could do. I happen to be a HUGE fan of everything and anything tiny. Ask my husband- whenever we're out and I come across a normal sized item, miniaturized I always grab it and have to show him!
Mini and one bite foods, especially desserts are really "in" right now. There's something fun and different about having a buffet of different little foods and fun sweets for your guests to try.
Being Summer time, and especially with the Fourth of July coming up, anything pie, apple, cherry, blueberry, country, or American food like is popular. So I thought, well I haven't done an OLD American favorite, Apple Pie, yet. A miniature Apple Pie? Ooooooooooooh yes! Here is a neat, fun, and completely tini new twist on the classic Apple Pie. Homemade flaky pie crust, sweet and tart apples- cut into a perfect french brunoise cut (that's a 1/8"x1/8"x1/8" dice), made into a delicious cinnamon and spiced flavored pie filling, and then topped with sweet cream butter and a mini lattice crust.
At just a little over an inch in diameter, these are tini, beautiful, all-American, and most importantly- YUMMY!
