It's been a while since our last post...but we have good reason!
I was recently asked to do a my friend's little boy's 5th birthday cake! What a blessing! Turning 5 is such a big deal, both for mom and the child! (maybe more for mom??) The theme was "Toy Story" so of course the cake had to match. The mom wanted a two-tiered cake...
The bottom: 9" round of my yummy (vanilla)² flavored cake, colored and made to look like "Andy's Room". This was to be the "Woody" tier. Making the exact blue as Andy's room was quite the challenge!! But I accomplished it! Each cloud was hand cut (and I mean hand cut, no cookie cutters here!) out of yummy vanilla fondant using a stencil created by the amazing Bill Main. You can find those clouds and purchase them here!
The top: 6" round of Red Velvet! This was to be the "Buzz" tier, with stars and colors matching accordingly. Again each star was colored and stencil created by Bill Main, and then hand cut. And, yep- you can purchase those stars here!
Too adorable!! Great job Christina!!
