Goodness it's been a while since my last post. I have good reason though! We've had some wonderful changes happen and we have just now had time and a chance to get back to normal. All that being said, the baking was on hold for a little while...but then quickly got going again once we were all settled in. I've needed this stress release for a while now!
It was recently a dear friend's birthday and I saw this as the perfect opportunity to get into my apron again and get the baking going. One of his favorites (we were told) was banana bread. Oh how perfect! I just so happened to have A BUNCH of bananas in my freezer! :)
Shown here are my version of Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins with Crumb Topping and Chocolate Drizzle! Yum, right?!? Using organic bananas, real vanilla sugar, homemade buttermilk, sweet cream butter, and Guittard chocolate (google it! It's absolutely amazing chocolate), these muffins are anything but ordinary. Light and cakey in texture, subtly sweet (relying more on the banana's natural sugar and then brought to the perfect sweetness with real vanilla bean sugar), with little bursts of deep chocolate throughout. Topped with homemade crumb topping to add that crunchy texture and finished with a generous drizzle of Guittard chocolate....yes, we'll wait for you to wipe your chin.
