It feels so good to be able to get back into the creative groove of things. Orders have been coming in pretty rapidly lately (thank you Lord :) ) so we've been diving head first into baking and decorating.
I got this awesome order MONTHS ago (I love love love early orders) and was so excited ever since. A few changes happened over the course of the last few weeks...but my happiness and excitement never ceased. A super cool and creative mom (and dear friend) wanted to do a combined birthday party for her two little girls- one turning 5 and one turning 1. Since their birthdays were in the month of October she wanted to have a cute Halloween themed birthday party. Purple was the dominant color (especially loved by the older sister) and so our cake idea blossomed.
Shown is a 6" Red Velvet cake with a dark chocolate piped web and edible "Sister Spiders". A sparkly purple ribbon is then wrapped along the bottom, to give that "super sparkle" the eldest was very much looking for. We really wanted to add more height to the cake, so the super talented Bill Main hand made the scroll sign to top! We also wanted to give the feel of Halloween throughout the entire cake without going over into the "scary" part of things. This was, in fact, for two very sweet little girls.
So without further postponement...Happy Birthday Izzy and Harley Quinn!
