christmas cupcake fun...

I had some left over edible handmade holly from a previous order I had done. You can find the blog about it here, if you'd like to see what we created. I just cannot let any cute little decorations we have made go to waste, so into the edible decoration box they went!

My husband and I have a little Christmas party tonight to go to, and on the invitations we were encouraged to bring some treats if our heart so desired. DUH mine does! That's what it lives for! Hehe. Plus, I thought, it would give me the perfect way to use these little holly cuties.

So I whipped up a batch of Pumpkin Cupcakes and topped them with Cream Cheese Frosting instead of the Spiced Sweet Cream we usually top them with. I'm hoping this new combination is just as good (if not better) and everyone at the party will enjoy. Thanks for being guinea pigs guys! I then made some hand-cut edible gum paste stars to go along with the whole Christmas theme I'm trying to accomplish. These cupcakes came out so darn cute!

I'll be taking a much needed baking and blogging break for this wonderful holiday. So until next time, I truly hope everyone out there has a fabulous Christmas- thank you Jesus for coming down to earth and being born- let's all celebrate!!
