twelve by 2012...

Ahh procrastination. How we all know you very well..maybe too well. Although I do tend to procrastinate more than I'd like to admit, I would say that I am truly a Type A person. I like things neat. I like things in order. I love lists...maybe I love lists a little too much. I've been known to love lists so much that I pour blessings upon blessings on my sweet hubbie by creating wonderful lists for him as well! I'm so thoughtful. Some people might call those "honey do lists"...but I'd  rather wrap them in a nice little cozy blanket called "blessings" <--- Poor Bill.

So you can imagine my genuine surprise of pure bliss when one of my favorite blogs, Oh, Hello Friend presented a challenge and fun thing to do- Complete 12 tasks you've been meaning to complete BEFORE 2012. The best part? We get to make a list!

So, here are my 12 things I REALLY need/want/have been procrastinating and have to do!

My List of 12

Bold= finished!
Italic= in progress
Neither= sadness because I have yet to start.

  1. Make a pumpkin pie for my husband. He's been begging for me to do so for a while.
  2. Start gathering ideas and supplies for homemade Christmas gifts for friends and extended family.
  3. Start Christmas shopping early! Evenly space out purchases so we can budget right this year!
  4. Create a bible verse wall art for bedroom.
  5. Re-do Sweet Lavender Bake Shoppe's look!
  6. Order some rubber stamps with new above said look...
  7. Get our etsy shop organized and re-done so packages sent out are splendid
  8. Exercise more than once a week (we all knew this one was coming).
  9. Cut out all white sugar (I've been eating it everyday! Almost more than once!!)
  10. Read/study/spend quality time with God (via bible readings, devotionals, etc).
  11. Take our 3 year anniversary trip!!! (I say in progress because we just booked it!)
  12. Actually start going to all the fun places/restaurants I keep putting in my phone and then ignoring when I'm reminded -_-
Now that I actually have these all written down and I'm able to look them over....I really see how much work I have cut out for me. Sigh.

Oh! Also,you can find an awesome list on Danni's blog of all the other bloggers that are also participating. Make sure you check them out and encourage them to complete their goals, as well as me!

  2. Aw thanks Cheryl!! It was a hard list to write- especially since I knew that meant I actually HAD to do it! But, slowly it's getting done! YAY! And thanks for the kind words about the new look! We LOVE it too! My artsy fartsy hubbie did it all for me (with my opinions breathing down his neck, haha) and I couldn't be happier!

    Good luck to you as well! :)
