things I love right now: thanksgiving inspirations...

Thanksgiving will be here before we know it! That's for sure! You know how I know that (other than the obvious)?? Every single place I turn, there is something turkey/brown-orange-yellow-colored/leaf-filled/cinnamon-scented/pumpkin-flavored/pilgrim-child-craft-suggested! The other day I was at our local grocery store and saw..eeeep!...fresh organic cranberries, fresh sage, and those crispy onion thinggies to top green been casseroles! <---Yuuuuuuum!

Now I'm definitely NOT complaining...Thanksgiving just so happens to be one of my most favorite holidays out there- pretty much like 99% of the rest of us. I love the smells, the feel you get around this time, the colors (yes even Southern California has somewhat of a different feel and color scheme)- everything. I really do wish it was Autumn for 8 months of the year and then the rest of the seasons the other 3. Le sigh...

So, I've been starting to collect ideas and recipe suggestions for when my family does Thanksgiving and thought I'd share a few with you :)

LOVE LOVE LOVE these!! There are so many great things to do with old glass bottles. A DIY too! Choosetothrive

I wish I knew how to sew...I really do! Maybe we could do the same sort of thing regardless...  Designbykelli

I love that table and the (surprise surprise) wood name holder! Laylagrayce

I guess I have a thing for signs... Pinterest

Again with the mason jars...I know I know...but this is an AWESOME and simple idea!  Kristanlynn

We love bunting! This would be so cute on top of a Thanksgiving pie! Tatertotsandjello

I love rustic AND organic looking decor- love these as a napkin holder or even place card holder if smaller! Pinterest

I have so many mason jars...I'm always looking for neat things to do with them. I love this idea...thinking maybe painting them with chalkboard paint and writing on them with white chalk instead? Littlemissmomma

So simple! A leaf and some gold (or silver) paint pens! Apartmenttherapy

Of course TURKEY!!! I happen to LOVE turkey! My husband and I eat it all year round. Not roasted whole like this of course...which makes Thanksgiving extra special!  Oh MarthaStewart

I'm seriously kicking myself for not thinking of this!!! Great pie crust decoration! MarthaStewart...again.

A Thanksgiving must have...Herbed Mashed Potatoes. MarthaStewart

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Pie?!?!!? Jeez! Howsweeteats

My second favorite thing on the buffet table?! Sweet potatoes (or yams) with marshmallows! Oh my word so good. So I'm totally loving this...although there needs to be about 1084385 more handfuls of marshmallows on top! Skinnytaste

MmmMMm! Crispy potatoes! *drool* MarthaStewart

Is your mouth watering yet? Because mine is!!!! Nestleusa

Warm apple cider is a MUST! Plus, it makes your home smell so darn good! Laylagrayce
