beach days...

I'm just sitting here this Monday morning thinking about the crazy weather we've had.

Some days rainy and completely grey...so cold I actually have to pull out the heavy jacket. It looks like that's going to be today. Some days so warm and sun-filled, you can't stay inside.

This was exactly the case over the last two weekends. It has been so beautiful. Blue skies hung over brightly colored green and tan land.

We happen to live right alongside the Pacific Ocean, so we're very fortunate to see the enormous and equally as gorgeous teal/turquoise water on a somewhat daily basis.

One day in particular, we couldn't help but pack a picnic and head to our favorite beach.

It was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G to say the least. So incredibly warm: the sun kissed every ounce of skin you allowed to show. People everywhere. Everywhere. I guess we all had the same idea ;)

It was heavenly. We both needed that time together, out, in the sun, on the beach. It's good medicine, ya know?
Then on the way home we stopped and picked this up. OH MY CHEESE this stuff is good. It's the creamiest blue cheese I've tasted yet! And not too pungent either- just the right amount of blue-cheese flavor. Reminds me of a Gorgonzola or Cambozola. That's good news, if you ask me! I've been nibbling on it here and there, trying REALLY hard not to shove the whole thing in my mouth. Crackers, sourdough bread pieces, pears, apples...my fingers...you name it, it's been smeared on it.

Happy Monday everyone ;)

  4. I love the beach!!! Sunshine is so important to me. If I go more than a day or two without sunlight, I start getting grumpy. Gorgeous photos :) I'm jealous of your beachside location.

    1. I am the same way, Jenn. SAME way. Don't get me wrong, I love a "Stay at home, stay in jammies, snuggle the day away" type of day...but it can't go on for too long. I need to wear tank tops, or dresses...and be out in the sun.
