tension buster essential oil blend...

Let's cut to the chase, shall we?

It's no surprise I'm a BIG lover of my essential oils. If you've been following me for any amount of time on Instagram, you know this well. My husband, on the other hand, was an oil skeptic until I made what we call "Tension Buster". He has suffered from tension and inflammation that collects in his shoulders, neck and base of head for years. If not combatted quickly, it turns into a migraine. This stuff- this Tension Busting combo of oils, really works. He uses it almost every day and now swears by it.

In fact, he has just recently asked me, "Will you make something I can take to work?" You got it, husband of mine. Anything for your new oil obsession. Bye bye Tylenol, hello all natural pain relief.

He uses the spray at home and brings the roller bottle to work. He says if he catches it early enough, it completely removes all tension and pain. And he applies as needed throughout the day. Wife win!

These oils naturally combat this type of ailment so well when combined becaussssssssssse:

  • Frankincense Frereana: can help promote the natural healing of a wound or cut, supports the immune system and is calming and relaxing.
  • Peppermint: has a cooling effect on the skin which when used with a carrier oil and applied to the temples and back of the neck when having head and neck tension, can help relieve.
  • Lavender: promotes calm/relaxation and is a nervous tension reliever.
  • Eucalyptus: supports aching muscles and joints from occasional overuse, stimulates healthy circulation, and brings a feeling of warmth to the body. Soothing for sore muscles.

For a 2oz spray bottle:

1. To your 2oz bottle, you're going to add the frankincense, peppermint, lavender and eucalyptus essential oils. Then top the rest off with the witch hazel. Screw top back on and make sure to shake before each  use!

My husband uses this predominantly on the back of his neck, shoulders and upper back. He sprays 3-4 sprays directly on his skin and allows to dry. If need be, he'll spray a little in his hands and rub on his temples, forehead and front of neck/chest. Use as needed!

For a 10ml roll-on:

1. To your 10ml roller bottle, you're going to add the frankincense, peppermint, lavender and eucalyptus essential oils. Then top the rest off with the fractionated coconut oil. Pop in the roller top (make sure it's in there well), screw top back on and make sure to shake before each  use!

This is obviously a more concentrated blend and is good for those really bad days. My husband brings this roller bottle with him to work and uses it throughout the day as needed, since he works with his head hung down painting all day! Just use a swipe or two across the neck, shoulders, forehead or temples and rub in with your hands.
